Mr. Jagath Ramanayake participated in Independence Day Celebration of Sri Lanka in Japan.

The 66th Anniversary of Independence Day of Sri Lanka was celebrated at the Kotani Hall Reiyukai Centre in Tokyo on Tuesday, 4th February by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Tokyo with a large gathering of the Sri Lankan community residing in Japan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

At Independence Day Celebrations, His Excellency MahindaRajapaksa the President’s message was stated that, along with dignity of freedom, near future Sri Lanka will build more productive economic links with the international community, in addition His Excellency the ambassador Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, was stated in his statement that enduring friendship of six decades between Sri Lanka and Japan will be further enhanced in the future. Further more, the Independence Day statements of Hon.D.M.Jayaratne, Prime Minister and Hon.G.L.Peiris, Minister of External Affairs also delivered to the large gathering.

Independence Day messages of H.E.MahindaRajapaksa, the President, Hon.D.M.Jayaratne, the Prime Minister and Hon.G.L.Peiris, the Minister of External Affairs and H.E Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda the Sri Lankan ambassador of Japan were published as Independence Day special supplements sponsored by SLAEAJ in The Japan Times and The Daily Yomiuri newspapers on 4th February 2014.
